I am a believer

I have lived part of my life afraid, afraid of so much, and now, I am living to learn, love, laugh, enjoy all that is presented before me. I am able to be me, and enjoy whom I am, and not compromise what I believe in. Be whom you are, not what anyone believes that you should be. Live your life completely and wholly, for yourself, for your family, friends, and as God would have it be.

an earthquake

So, here I was watching TV, thinking it was time to hit the sack. It was almost ten. Like a couple minutes before.

I heard this kind of rumbling, felt it as much as I heard it, it reminded me of the train. Didn't really think much of it, not at all. But it started getting louder, reminding me of the wind. I thought, was the wind coming up? The chime started ringing, the tin on the porch started clapping, Pacino started growling and barking really bad.

The house started trembling, rattling, and then shaking. It was surreal. I was laying on the couch with Pacino on my lap. We were moving up and down and back and forth, it only lasted a few seconds. But, oh my gosh!!!!

It was one of the craziest things that I have experienced, and I don't know if being in a mobile made it that much more intense but I think it must have. Just plain ole WOW!!!

The epicenter was by Duncan and they tentatively registered it as a 5.2.

Haha my neighbor called me a few minutes later, and she has been watching one of those ghost spirit shows or something, when it hit, haha, and she said she came out of her bed and decided that was enough of those shows!

That was my excitement for the weekend at 959pm last night. Boy howdy, I'm not earthquake material!!

Have a great rest of the day. :)

My happiness

Some crazy things always happen at the oddest moments in our lives, coming out and causing us to look deep inside ourselves to find out whom we are, where we have and are coming from and how to proceed from here.

You always hear, "Live, laugh and love.   Live in the moment." There are so many other sayings, and if a person were to stop and read these sayings, say them out loud, and savor every word as if it were an exquisite piece of some delicacy that we are eating (and it is food for our heart and soul) we would read into these something that is powerful and moving.

IN order to do this you have to free your mind from the constraints that hold you back, emotionally, spiritually and soulfully. It is easier said than done, but if a person will try this, it works.

Dissect the words, roll them on your tongue and make yourself focus on each and everyone of them. Have you read something only to find yourself at the bottom of the page not having any idea of what you read? Skimming over words, looking for something to catch your eye? Exactly.

YOU can do this in all aspects of your lives. Look at it and instead of going crazy mad, angry, resentful, stop. Think about what was said or done, and what maybe the intention was to really be, and remember that we say or do things that come out at the heat of a moment that can be damaging. We don't realize what a person is going through, even though we think we know them. Give them some peace too.

If it is something that does make you happy, let them know as well, make their day more peaceful.

OUR peace and our harmony comes from within our very souls and spirits, burning with the desire to have more. Every turn in our life throws something in our way, trying to sway us one way or the other. How we take each one of these, how we look at each of these moments can determine how our life can change and then bring us that happiness, peace, that freedom.

I have chosen to take each moment and use it to make others happy, by trying to encourage them to find this peace. I am learning that this is not easy. But I can do it. For my birthday, I decided the best present that I could get was one that gave me happiness, and that was spent all day making everyone smile and saying and doing happy things. It was wonderful. I had a blast, all the way to the end of the day.

Our choices reflect upon whom we are OR whom we are trying to be. Let you be you. Reflection on our life can be good, but don't dwell on it. Move on, forgiveness is so important to reach a point of that true peace, happiness and a loving being. Learning to love, truly love, will come from this forgiveness. Learning to live our lives with a free abandon, of being spiritually open to our Lord, it makes the greatest difference.

I love my family, my friends, my animal friends and of course, my plant friends. Yes, I know, I am a hippie lady but it is my way of being me, my peace, my happiness, my spiritual oneness with this nature and with our Lord.

Love ya.

Choices

Jumping on the wagon of life can be so wild at times. It takes off, it stops abruptly, turns the wrong way at times or when it jumps off the path you have chosen, can take you on an adventure that is life changing.

I have learned to accept it as it comes towards me whether I want it to go that way or not. There is only so much that I am able to change, and that mostly and always is me. My choice to be me, happy, sad, angry, mad, crazy, silly, melancholy, joy and whatever comes. I can control that, my reactions to it, life, coming at me.

When I come home to a dirty kitchen, (it does happen, haha, more than I like) it is a choice to be angry because the dishes are sitting there looking at me, saying hahahahahaha, we're dirty, orrrr happy (because I get to look out the window and watch the animals as I do the dishes), so I always choose happy. Especially when Ralf and Pacino are in the back, they always know when I am in the kitchen, and get all crazy happy playing.

All the choices that we make, can make the difference between a good day and a bad day. It is directly related to our choices, waking up with a smile, just forcing a smile makes a difference. Saying nice things, just appreciating and being thankful of what we do have.

There are so many things that I have learned over the years, and one of the best one is take that frowny face and turn it upside down, a choice that just Makes my Day.

I also learned that asking for help is ok. This is one that I am still working on, it is so hard for me to do so. But I am making progress in doing it.

Learning that NO is not going to kill you, or stab you in the heart, a kind of rejection that you most certainly can get over. I know that rejection can really uproot your day, but, you need to remember that it can make you stronger, and more able to change you to a better person, a happier person. It might not feel that way at the time, but its definitely possible.

No is a small work that can have a lot of punch, but if we think about why it is said, it allows us to get past it. Yes is usually easier to take, depending on the situation too, but again a small word with a lot of punch.

David and I learned  along time ago, when we used to go knocking on doors to find out if stuff was for sale, that the worst that can happen is they tell us no. I always hated knocking on doors, but after he did it by his self for a long time, he made me :), and I was scared to death. But I learned. All they do is say yes, or no, or let me think about it. We bought a camp trailer that way, and lots of pipe. Ha ha, I still hate doing it, but I now know it's not going to be horrible.

I know after being rejected, being told no, many other instances of being knocked down on the ground, I have felt sorry for myself, having a pity party that usually no one but me was a part of, I realized it is completely up to me to pick up the pieces and move on. There is no rule that says that I have to waller around in self pity for a certain amount of time. And there is no rule saying that you have to wait to be happy. Isn't that awesome? You don't have to wait to be happy.

So make a choice today, move past no, and anything that has turned your day upside down, flip it and make it a happy day.  Take the choice that brings love to your heart, it might be harder, but well worth it.

Love ya all.

I am me

I am me, and you are you. We are individuals, with quirkiness abounding from each of us, making us who we are, forming us into our knot headed stubborn fun loving weird in cool ways kind of people. Yup, that's me. And my kids, haha.

We assume that we are in charge of ourselves, only to let events, people, weather, sunshine, food and things outside our minds control us. If we can search deep inside and start taking back control little by little, our selves, our soul, our spirit, our bodies, we can then start making peace with ourselves and those around us by understanding that our happiness stems from this.

It's like being angry at someone for something that they did to us, whether on purpose or not. We hold them responsible, letting it dig deeper under our skin until we are smoldering with anger everytime we see them or even think about them. But, we are only hurting ourselves by doing this. If we let it go, forgive, put it behind us, it opens a door for us to move again instead of being bound by chains of anger, bitterness, hate..... And most of the time, that person doesn't even know we are angry.

If we can learn to express ourselves in such a way that doesn't hurt ourselves, we can walk with a lightness that beams out of us. It will beam out love, because if you learn to feel love, breathe it, you can talk it, walk it and live it.

We all want to be free. But the inside free makes us stronger, more caring, more able, more understanding and more forgiving. It does not make us weak. Free your mind, your soul, let it open up and flower.

Free your body from the binds of society as well, from it trying to tell you why you should look a certain way, move a certain way, eat a certain way. We are individuals in every way, and we were put here that way. Use nature to help you achieve you. Watch it, feel it, experience it, taste it.

Take a chance and try something new, taste something new, don't hold yourself back, don't have regrets. Take off the chains and shackles that hold in all the anger and resentment, the bitterness and hurt and fears.

It's never too late to do something great for yourself.

Let your self be free.
