I am a believer

I have lived part of my life afraid, afraid of so much, and now, I am living to learn, love, laugh, enjoy all that is presented before me. I am able to be me, and enjoy whom I am, and not compromise what I believe in. Be whom you are, not what anyone believes that you should be. Live your life completely and wholly, for yourself, for your family, friends, and as God would have it be.

What I see

What I see in a person is my view, my take, my memories, my emotions guiding me on how that person has treated me or others. I look at people around me and  I get filled with negative thoughts, by knowing what they have done in the past. But I realize again, that I'm not being fair. I have to open my mind and look past those faults that I see, that I have watched in action. Whom am I to judge? I know people change.

I listen to what others say about people, their opinions and let those take seed in my head, rather than learning myself, firsthand about them,  their thoughts, their fears, their dreams, hopes and getting to know them before passing any kind of judgement. I realize that I can destroy a friendship before it starts by this thought process.

I will learn about character, quality, morals, integrity, in myself and in others. I will choose to learn on my own about people and let me get to know them rather than letting others influence me to the point that I shun them. This will teach me humility, kindness, patience, generosity.  I have so much to learn today.

People, I think, are placed in our path to teach us, guide us, and help us reach a place in our spiritual walk to help us get to where we  need to be in order for us to fulfill the plan that is in store for us.

I  continue to learn lessons about me and my behavior, and how I still am letting past transgressions control me. Things that have happened in my past to me and by me. I have to forgive, and  build a beautiful level of forgiveness in my heart, my soul and my spirit. With this forgiveness in place, I can then begin to love again even more and enjoy the company of my friends and family whether I agree with them or not. I can become better than what I was before. Not better than them, but better than whom I was the day before. I have a lot of growth to do.

So there you have it. I need to see what I see, open my mind, but I also need to open my heart to what others see without letting it influence me. I need to see the good that others see in people, instead of just bad and/or hurtful things perceived in my mind by my memories.

Memories should be a part of our lives, but should not be allowed to control us.

My best friend, my worst enemy

It is so crazy how we can sabotage our everyday plans to be happy, cheerful, get things done, read a book, be us or.....

And then there are the times that we can just feel like nothing can stop us in the world, and we just explode with creativity, energy, peace, happiness....

The one common factor here is me, you. We can talk in our head about how we will move forward yet when it comes down to finally taking action, we fill ourselves with insecurities, with self doubting, with thoughts that tell us we are just a failure, we'll never amount to anything.

Or, we will fill our heads with thoughts like way to go baby!! You did it!!

We are our best friends, we are our worst enemy. We take ourselves down, we build ourselves up.
WE thrive on other people telling us how good we are, how accomplished we are, and then we draw within when people criticize or make fun of us, or try to keep us from accomplishing our dreams, our goals our anything.

Look past all of this. Look past it and take a deep look at you. Who are you? No matter what anyone thinks, you are a very special person that is filled with love, kindness, beauty, talent, special gifts that belong to you only.

Take time to say at least once a day, I love you. At yourself. YOU deserve to hear it, to know it, and to feel it. And you can let someone else hear it too.

Each of us is a very special person, we have needs, wants. We have passion, and are passionate about our bits of our lives that rev us up. One thing that I have learned from animals, birds, they live their lives without regrets. They don't look at yesterday and analyze it till it makes them sick.

My dogs (I'm up to 5, we have a new addition) never worry about tomorrow. I think the only thing they worry about is will I pet them, feed them, cuddle, talk to them, just hang out. They love me in the dog way, and you can see it.

So, be your best friend always, and let go, learn from your failures, your accomplishments, get up when you fall, keep on going. Smile, love, be grateful.
