I am a believer

I have lived part of my life afraid, afraid of so much, and now, I am living to learn, love, laugh, enjoy all that is presented before me. I am able to be me, and enjoy whom I am, and not compromise what I believe in. Be whom you are, not what anyone believes that you should be. Live your life completely and wholly, for yourself, for your family, friends, and as God would have it be.

beautiful sunsets and my next project

So, its that time again, of thunderstorms, beautiful sunsets and such. We have had a few storms and it has really been nice.

This was so pretty, so many colors in the sky that night.

And of course, this horse had to be in this pictures, but I like it still.

This on was from the following night with a different pallete of colors

Thebeginning of the table.

Finishing up with the welding.

He started painting it and then let me finish painting.

Now all thats left is making the tabletop. I have started sanding some wood, will get it prepared, cut it into a circle and then  put it together and attache it to the top. I am excited to hopefully finish it this weekend.

thoughts and emotions

I was reading in my email yesterday, came across an email that I forgot I had said yeah, send me stuff kindof email. It was some interesting stuff, not very sugarcoated, reality. A get off your butt and make your life better by changing you and not expecting change of others.

Some of the stuff he said, was to change the way we think about everything that happens. Clear our minds and free ourselves. Like, if you're angry at someone for something they did, instead of saying I am so mad at so and so for doing this, change it to say, I  am feeling mad at so and so or I felt mad at so and so for doing this. This changes, he says, your owning this emotion,to help you release this anger rather than clinging to it. The same for depressions, for hostility, for sadness, for frustrations, etc. His idea is to not fuse with these emotions, but to release them from owning you. A Buddhism way of thinking.

I can see how that would really help, it makes sense. One step in the right direction. I know I have a problem with grudges and with hashing out something that happened to me, over and over, trying to justify right or wrong, trying to understand, and it then continues to bug me. If I would just change a few words in these thoughts, it can help me to let it go, especially the really little dumb stuff, and clear my head for funner stuff.

So, if you can change one thought at a time, catch it as you are thinking it, wouldn't it be worth it to make your perspective of everything more positive? Empowering, because then you are taking over your thoughts, having maybe a little more control over you.

I really liked what he was saying, and thought about his perspective of this. So, to a happier and more fulfilling day!!

Love ya!!

What are you waiting for?

What ARE you waiting for. Tomorrow? Next week? What are you afraid of? Failure? Hmm. I have figured out that I am becoming more able to just do something rather than wait until next week. I did decide a while back that alot of things could wait.

And they did.

And they still are there, waiting for someone like me, to get them done.

And, yet they still are there. Hmm.

Well, today, I break the mold, again. I've said it before, and today, I state it again. What better time than now. To read something new, interesting, something that I have wanted to for some time. To go and buy a flute ( I did, I really did!!) and start playing again. It has been 25 years or so, but, I cannot believe how my fingers have remembered so much already.

To repair a chair. To finish Jon's room. To tie a quilt. To begin another. To smile and feel confidence in knowing that I am loved, I am beautiful, I am smart and intelligent. I am capable of doing.

Failure scares the heck out of me, yet I do know that if I don't fail, then I will never do my best, and continue to try to do better, each time I set out to accomplish anything. I can't keep being safe all the time in those things that I choose to do. Right?

Right.

Soooo, what are YOU waiting for?

Happy 4th of July

Another week come and gone, tomorrow is the celebration on our country, I do hope that you have a very safe and fun weekend.

I am hoping that Mother Nature will provide us with an outstanding show herself, that would be awesome and then some rain to boot, would be even better.

Love everyone!!
